Ang thong National Marine Park

Full day, By Speed Boat
Mu Koh Ang Thong became a national park in 1980. It contains 42 islands of which Koh Wua Talap (island of the "sleeping" cow) is the largest one. There is a nice beach with white sand on this island named Ao Kha and you will also find a small national park office and a camping site here. North of this island you will find Koh Mae Koh. On this island there is a beautiful inner sea named Talay Nai. It is about seven meters deep and has a few viewing points. It is worth visiting even if you have to walk for a while before getting there. There are also two beaches on this island suitable for swimming: Ao Na Thap and Ao Tham Rang.

Other islands are; Koh Sam Sao (North of Koh Mae Koh with a few pleasant beaches) and Koh Prayad, Koh Hin Dap and Koh Kha further north.

Koh Tao & Koh Nang Yuan Island

Koh Nang Yuan is a small island very close to Koh Tao. It is famous for its diving spots and its great snorkeling beach; you can feed fish by hand. Many people visits from Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Nang Yuan is 3 small islands, which are joined together by a white sand bar. Put on your gear and check out the impressive underwater world through your mask, or you may like to climb up to the high view point of Nang Yuan a 90 metre panorama view.

After lunch in a restaurant on Koh Tao the trip will extent to the second point at Aow Moung (Mango Bay) or at another prime site of Koh Tao, before you take your boat back to Koh Phangan.

Diving

Full day
Good visibility and extensive coral reefs have created good surroundings for diving around Koh Phangan. A little North of the island, you will find Sail Rock, famous for giving home to both whale sharks and barracudas. If you want to obtain an international diving certificate (PADI etc.), there are many schools and instructors with a genuine knowledge and experience.
